For three reasons, I choose in sumitomo electric industrial co., LTD (SEI) practice.First of all, the SEI is a world-renowned Japanese companies, has a long history of success.Although I don't know much about this company at first, but I've heard of this brand.In addition, through to the company's web site for further study, I gradually realized that the SEI is a big company (in the human resources, net sales and profit, etc).When I told my parents when I go to the company in Japan, has applied for internships, they were very excited because they also know that the success of the SEI.

Second, I am an adventurous man.Since I was young, I have been like to venture into the world outside of Singapore and out of my comfort zone.In general, let me feel satisfied to travel abroad alone.But this time I began to work in Japan and fully experience the feeling of life there.For people like me have adventurous spirit, to apply for this internship is very attractive.

In the end, because I'm interested in Japan.When I was young, I will study Japanese as a third language for a year and a half.Due to the outbreak of the H1N1 virus in 2009, I was forced to abandon exchange tour to Japan.But, I am very glad to again have the opportunity after nearly a decade.So this time, I was determined to go to Japan.

In the SEI, I worked as an intern in global human resource planning group.

During the internship, I focus on two main projects and other projects.My first major project is proposed to design the company's web site.SEI is a have many overseas subsidiary companies.At present, our goal is to achieve the standardization of the various human resource practices all group co., LTD.This helps to ensure that global liquidity and better development of fairness.Supplement the global HR documents, the recruitment website redesign will help to ensure that not only provide the related standardized version of the recruitment information to Japan's potential job seekers, also provided to potential candidates around the world.

I learned that the most interesting thing is how Japanese culture penetrated into all aspects of the work in Japan.Attaches great importance to team cooperation to build consensus and helps to ensure that all people go all out to promote the project smoothly.Although many of the things I learned in school tend to adopt western standards of best practice, but it is interesting to note that need to adjust this kind of practice in Japan, to take both a long time.

Practice makes me have a more comprehensive knowledge of human resources.Although I work in the similar function before, but due to cultural differences, are quite different in Japan.This experience made me realise that I like the challenge of working in different places and different cultures.If you can, I hope in the future to find a company that have the chance to go abroad often business travel, or to find a job outside in Singapore.Although it sounds a bit scary, but we are now in said: life is only once!Life is only once!
